In praise of Sedlescombe Organic Regent

After Quoins Orion, now this! A Demeter certified organic Regent from East Sussex.

Regent performed surprisingly well in the 'North' tasting earlier this year. That was a German example. This English organic one is lighter, not surprisingly but none the worse for that. Slotovino thought this was really worth seeking out.

The list of lovely English reds is becoming quite substantial. We would now include

Gribble Bridge Dornfelder
Biddenden Gamay
Sedlescombe Regent

in addition to quite a few Pinot Noirs.
