The wipe-out year 2024 was redeemed by our stunning victory in the first copetition we ever entered:
The Bexley Homebrew Festival!
Our 2024 Primitivo won Best Red Wine and also Best in Show.
There were as many as 12 entrants. True, 9 of these enetered wine made from kits but we can now call ourselves the Award-Winning winemakers.
This has gone some way to mitigate our total failure to make any wine from our home-grown sodden 2024 grapes, none of which ripened and those that tried were eaten by the birds anyway.
