EST!

Here it is, the solution to all your (wine) drinking problems. Yes, a 250ml tin of Poulsard from the Wine Society at 12.5% currently at £4.25 (£17 a litre).*

250 ml is one large glass. Just the right amount to enjoy with your dinner without breaking either the bank or your liver.

And enjoy you will because we reckon Poulsard is perfect as an accompaniment to almost any kind of food - fish, meat, vegetarian, cheese - whatever as long as it's not too spicy. As we have said before, don't get side-tracked about the salmon-pink colour. It's not a rose and you don't have to go with the Wine Society's advice to chill it.

A note about the origin: the Fruitiere Vinicole D'Arbois cooperative is not usually considered as the greatest provider of Poulsard but in this case they have excelled themselves. We fancy their tinned version is much better than what you get by the bottle from Nicolas.

*It's worth bearing in mind also that Jura prices have gone through the roof and this may be the best value for money that you will ever get from that tiny but fascinating area.
